Halimat Amin Abdulrahim is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Ilorin. She currently serves as the Acting Head of Department (Ag. H.O.D).

Halimat holds a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS, 2003) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, M.Sc in Health Planning and Management (MHPM, 2013) from University of Maiduguri, M.Sc and Ph.D Biochemistry (2018;2022) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso.

Halimat has attended many local conferences, seminars and workshops where she presented papers in her field of study, among which she was awarded’’ 2^nd Best oral presentation at Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN) Dutse, 2018 at the 16^th National Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting.  

She has to her credit over twenty-five publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. Halimat Amin ABDULRAHIM is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
